Yeah!!! Rush and I went in for an updated visit today. They took two xrays and gave her a “thumbs up” for returning to play. Over the next two months we get to gradually work up to full status! He said the hip looks good, solid, no movement and we should not have any trouble.

I am anxious to see what this will turn out as. She had lost two pounds of muscle since being down so we need to regain that. Her back legs look caved in. Other than that we can start back to work on our foundation. I have included photos of todays xrays with a photo of Rush and the doctor. Thank you

I almost have my old baby back! Rush is doing very well, very active (and I know she should not be, but we make our compromises). I let her go out to the horses with me for evening feedings ALONE. She cant have anyone else there because she gets crazy, but when alone she just runs around mellow for her. She finds a toy (some dead thing) and tosses and catches tosses and chases. She has a really good time. I make sure she does not race out the door (I walk her down by the scruff of her neck, because she does not wear a collar) and then she gets to go.

When we go out the front door she is on leash. She will run over and slip her head in the collar so she can go - she is soooo smart. No, not just because of that, but just because.

Its like having Rush back! She must have been in so much pain - she is back to how she was when I got her - crazy, high drive child. She is loving and playful, its great.

Greg says if you read back in this blog to the beginning you can see all the little signs that did not add up to anything way back then. I have not gone back yet but plan to. Ill bet its very interesting.
