Rush had an awesome class last night! We were working pinwheels and serpentines. It wasnt the lines themselves that made it great, it was the energy and speed that she brought in. Wow. I always take it easy on her with her hip and we only jump 12″ when working jumps in class, but she really came on strong with coming back into me. Way to move little girl.

Rush did awesome on the board. She picks things up really quickly. I did add a cone to her board work however because I had to have a way to get her off the board. She would just walk over and stand on it usually facing the wrong way. So I put a cone about 3′ off the end of the board ,slightly to the side of center. This way when she wrapped the cone she would be perfectly aligned with the board. When I ask her to wrap the other way I will move the cone to the other side. Make sense? I will take a picture. I also added two small posts to the end of the board (like corner posts only they are only about 8″ high). I will use them when I start making turns off the board - they will be guides to keep the dogs on the board and keep them from turning too soon. Once I put the cone in place Rush hit every one 4 feet solid on the board with speed.
We also worked some sit stay. Her leg is bothering her, but she did sit and she did stay. I could tell it was not very comfortable though.
