2009 June 26 - Accupuncture Update

I made the appointment for Rush for July 6.  I will have Rush and Baby done.  The doctor wants to do them both for 4 weeks in a row and then reevaluate where we are.  Its going to be pricey, and I still have to figure out where the money will come from but I am convinced that this could be it… I am hoping anyway.  I dont know what else to do,  Rush has been doing well with her jump training, building strength.  We are now 6 months into the post-surgery… I think she is doing great.  I still have trouble really working her because it makes her sore.

2009 June 23 - Distance Training

Oh yeah!  Oh yeah!!!!!!  My little Rush puppy is not to be outdone by her older brother!  My little girl has been jumping 16″ in her class and sequencing!  This is major because I have not trained her to do this because I always worry about her hip… but the last two weeks she has been in Lorries level 2 and we just do what they do.  Last night was some layered distance work (with the dogwalk as the layer).  Wow!  My little baby did it.  Not the first time, Lorrie had to “set me straight” about where I was standing (roll the eyes, because you know how those instructors are).. but she did it there after.

We also did some rear cross work which she did pretty good at.  We did have to break it down to work the tightness of the rear, but she did pick up on it fairly quickly.  I know!  I need to train my dogs too.  I just have this thing about training dogs that I feel are not “sound”, and when she works hard she gets sore.  I know thats part of the healing but I just feel bad if I caused it you know?  :)  Anyway, I am so pleased wth her.  And she is such a strong little athlete… when she is healed I know she is going to be great!  :)

2009 June 9 - Utah/Idaho Success!

Well, this was Rush’s second year going to Idaho with us.  It was Rush, Ice, Baby, myself and Katelyn.  Rush did much better this year, but still her grouchy self sometimes.  She did however stay in an xpen while I was doing the seminar and I did not have to speak to her much about carrying on in there like I did last year.  Last year she had to be in a crate and the crate had to be covered because of her screaming.  this year,  quiet!  Yeah! Progress.  I am actually very pleased with her.  Except for the bitchiness I love her to bits.

We stayed at our usual hotel, that we love, love, love and did our annual photo shoot.  And as usual the scenery was absolutely awesome!  I wish we could stay there a week (or more).  I really want to live there, I have decided and this year I was actually looking for the exact area I want to be in, instead of just “Utah”.  :)

I know that I will probably never get to live there (at least not for 10 years)… but thats okay I will wait.  And meanwhile I will just enjoy the awesome reconstruction effords my husband is making on our house and enjoy the annual visits to my “dream area”  :)
